Well, that verse refers to markings done in memory ("for the dead"), not in general. Regardless, there's a lot of crazy and unnecessary merchandise out there!
Yeah, I know, I'm just being a smartass :) The product just strikes me as weird. i guess they had leftover animal tattoos and wanted to market them to the religious crowd.
