There are like twenty mixed messages here. Yet I'm mostly disturbed by the idea of someone's father guarding their virginity. (I know it's not uncommon in certain sects of Christianity, but it doesn't make it any less creepy.)

I think the father who's watching is The Father, as in God. But it's still REALLY weird clothing. Of course, I'm not even totally sold on purity rings (I think you should be able to stick to what you think is right on your own), so I'm not exactly coming from a good place to understand this. :)
Could be. Somehow that's slightly less creepy than my interpretation...
