I'm particularly fond of this one because it reminds me of that chapter in one of the Ramona books where Ramona tells off a bunch of kids for taking the Lord's name in vain after they call her sister "Jesus Beezus." Which for some reason was hugely upsetting to her. Never quite understood 1) why that was so horrible, and 2) how it took until she was a teenager before someone came up with that. But the Ramona books were awesome. (I'm assuming the movie is less so. I'm really just happier not knowing.)

Beverly Cleary always seemed like the kind of woman who shocked easily. I can't imagine how she'd respond to some genuinely mean nicknames!
Maybe she was just really religious? No idea.
